On Tuesday, 30 January 2024, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, attended the Hellenic Special Warfare Command change of command ceremony, with Lieutenant General Prokopios Mavraganis assuming command from General Dimitrios Choupis.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios – Eleftherios Kataras HN, and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, as well as Honorary Chiefs of General Staff, General and Senior Armed and Security Forces Officers, as well as delegations of officers from all three Services of the Armed Forces, as well as from Retired Officer and Reservist Associations.
Mr. Kefalogiannis presented the outgoing Commanding General of the Hellenic Special Warfare Command and new Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff with a commemorative gift, thanking him for his contribution, while he also wished the new Commanding General of the Hellenic Special Warfare Command a fruitful and productive tenure.
