On Monday, 04 December 2023, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, attended, as representative of the Prime Minister, the official celebration of the Great Martyr Saint Barbara, Patron Saint of the Artillery, which took place at the Artillery School in N. Peramos, Attica.
The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, the Commandant of the Artillery School, Brigadier General Stergios Kazakis, the representative of the Hellenic Parliament, MP Athanasios Bouras, MPs, representatives of the local government, general and senior Armed and Security Forces Officers, retired Armed Forces Officers, as well as family members of heroes of the Artillery.
After the doxology, Mr. Kefalogiannis laid a wreath at the Fallen Artilleryman Memorial and attended a brief demonstration of Artillery weapon systems.
