The Deputy Minister of National Defence Ioannis Kefalogiannis signed a Joint Ministerial Decision with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Athanasios Petralias, for the assignment of 1001 National Guardsmen to Army installation guard duties for the year 2024.
The number in question has increased compared to the equivalent for 2023 in order to sufficiently meet the current operational needs of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
