The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis signed a Joint Ministerial Decision with the Minister of Education, Religion and Sport Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis and the Minister of Digital Governance Mr. Dimitrios Papastergiou on the operation of the APELLA information system for the management of the selection and promotion procedures of Higher Military Education Institution tenured faculty members.
With this arrangement, the procedure for the selection, tenure, and promotion of Higher Military Education Institution tenured faculty members will be performed through an electronic procedure management system (APELLA). In the said information system, a general record is kept that includes all professors, associate professors. and tenured assistant professors of Higher Military Education Institutions.
The operation of the APELLA information system in the Higher Military Education Institutions is a positive step in the context of modernisation and digitisation of the procedures of the Ministry of National Defence, as well as the broader efforts to reduce bureaucracy.
