Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis Visits 424th Army General Training Hospital

Today, Friday 4 September 2026, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Thanasis Davakis, visited the 424th Army General Training Hospital.

The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus and Macedonia/NRDC-GR, Major General Nikolaos Gallios, and was received by the hospital’s Director, Brigadier General Petros Toulios.

During his visit, Mr. Davakis was briefed on the functioning of the departments, the healthcare services provided, and the use of the modern medical equipment to meet the needs of the Armed Forces personnel and society at large.

After the visit, the Deputy Minister of National Defence made the following statement:

I visited today the 424th Army General Training Hospital and I was impressed by the excellent work, scientific knowledge, and dedication of our doctors and nursing staff. Our hospital innovates, leads, and provides top quality services.

The valuable contribution of the personnel is felt every day by the Armed Forces personnel, as well as the citizens of Thessaloniki and the entire Northern Greece.

Through a very productive discussion with the command, we planned together the next steps for the continuous enhancement and upgrade of the hospital.”
