Deputy Minister of National Defense Alkiviadis Stefanis attends Memorial Service for the Fallen Heroes of the Turkish Invasion in Cyprus representing the Prime Minister

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis representing the President of the Hellenic Government, attended today Sunday 18 July 2021, the Memorial Service for those fallen during the coup and the Turkish Invasion in Cyprus, in 1974. The Memorial Service was held care of the Municipality of Athens, at the Athens Cathedral.

Then the Deputy Minister of National Defence laid a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

Representatives from H.E. the President of the Hellenic Government also attended, as well as MP of Attica Northern Section Mr. Georgios Koumoutsakos, representing the President of the Parliament, the Right Reverend Bishop of Rogoi Mr. Filotheos representing the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, H.E. Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece Kyriakos Kenevezos, as well as representatives of Parliamentary Teams, the Armed Forces and Security Corps and the local authorities.
