Deputy Ministers, Nikolaos Hardalias and Ioannis Kefalogiannis, inspect the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens regarding the progress of its energy upgrade works

On Friday 04 August 2023, the Deputy Ministers of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias and Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, visited the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens.

The Deputy Minsters, accompanied by the Deputy Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, the Director of the Medical Corps Dte/HNDGS Rear Admiral Antonios Papageorgiou HN, the Director of the Medical Corps Dte/HAGS Major General Dimitrios Kasimos and the Deputy Commander of 401 General Military Hospital of Athens Brigadier General Georgios Dimitrakopoulos, were informed on the progress of the Hospital’s energy upgrading project, which is implemented through European funding. During the visit, they inspected the buildings and confirmed that the works are performed according to the time schedule.

Upon conclusion of the inspection, the Deputy Minister Mr. Kefalogiannis stated:

We visited with Mr. Hardalias today the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, to inspect the works in a project with perspective, concerning the energy upgrading of its facilities. The reduction of the energy imprint is very important, as well as the saving of resources. In the context of energy upgrading of the Ministry of National Defence’s building structures, further funding tools will be sought from European funds and regional programmes”.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias pointed out:

The energy upgrading of the Army Hospitals’ structures is a priority for the political leadership of the Armed Forces. Through the close and excellent cooperation of the competent services of the Armed Forces and Regions, we can, by using and absorbing community funds from their Regional Operational Programmes, continue to fund projects and actions, as the one of the energy upgrading of the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens, which I have the great pleasure and satisfaction to inspect and be informed on the progress of the project’s works today, along with Mr. Kefalogiannis, in order to update the infrastructures of our Nursing Structures, as well as many other of our military facilities and buildings in our camps”.
