During its 2/2024 Meeting, the Governmental Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence decided as follows:

1.         Assignment of Lieutenant Generals, Vice Admirals, Air Force Lieutenant Generals and Major Generals in Lieutenant General positions as follows:

            a.         Hellenic Army:

                        (1)       Lieutenant General Dimokritos Konstantakos as Commanding General, Hellenic First Army.

                        (2)       Lieutenant General Spyridon Alfantakis as Army Inspector General – Training Doctrine Commander.

                        (3)       Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos as Commanding General, D Army Corps.

                        (4)       Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou as Commanding General, Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands.

                        (5)       Lieutenant General Athanasios Sardelis as Commandant, Hellenic National Defence College.

                        (6)       Lieutenant General Dimitrios Bolomytis as Commanding General, Hellenic Army Support Command.

                        (7)       Lieutenant General Prokopios Mavraganis as Commanding General, Special Warfare Command.

                  (8)       Lieutenant General Mihail Klouvas as Hellenic Army Reorganisation Inspector at the Hellenic National Defence General Staff – Coordinator for the Establishment of the Construction and Natural Disaster Relief Command – Commanding General, Construction and Natural Disaster Relief Command (upon its activation).

                        (9)       Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis as Chief of Staff, Hellenic Army General Staff.

                        (10)     Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis as Commanding General, C Army Corps.

            b.         Hellenic Navy:

                        (1)       Vice Admiral Polychronis Koulouris HN as Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet.  

                        (2)       Vice Admiral Christos Sasiakos HN as Deputy Chief, Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

            c.         Hellenic Air Force:

                        (1)       Lieutenant General (HAF) Panagiotis Georgakopoulos as Chief of Hellenic Tactical Air Force.

                        (2)       Lieutenant General (HAF) Konstantinos Kleniatis as Hellenic Air Force Inspector General.

                        (3)       Major General (HAF) Konstantinos Zolotas as Chief of Staff, Hellenic National Defence General Staff.

                        (4)       Major General (HAF) Apostolos Chortis as Commander, Hellenic Air Force Support Command.

2.         The following officers will maintain their current position:

            a.         Hellenic Army:

                        (1)       Lieutenant General Antreas Koronakis as Deputy Chief, Hellenic Army General Staff.

                        (2)       Lieutenant General Petros Demestichas as Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee – Military Representative to the EU.

            b.         Hellenic Navy:

                        (1)       Vice Admiral Charilaos Papadimitriou HN as Commander, Hellenic Navy Logistics Command.
