A Hellenic and a Turkish delegation met from 21 to 24 May 2019 in Athens.

The purpose of the meeting, which was the first of a series of such meetings agreed to take place, was to seek, at a technical level, activities/actions within the framework of Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) in order to prevent tension during military activities.

The talks took place in a constructive atmosphere and will be continued soon in Turkey.

On Wednesday, 22 May, the Minister of National Defence, Evangelos Apostolakis, received the heads of the Turkish delegation at his office for a courtesy meeting.
