Her excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, accompanied by the Political and Military Leadership of the MoD, inspected the Fleet aboard frigate “YDRA” at the Saronic Gulf.
The President of the Republic was received at the Miaouli Bay, Piraeus port , by the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, representing the Government.
The inspection was also attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the MP of Lakonia Mr. Athanasios Davakis representing the Hellenic Parliament, HNDGS Chief General Konstantinos Floros, HAFGS Chief Lieutenant General (AF) Georgios Blioumis, HAGS Chief Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, HNGS Chief Vice-Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, the Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet Vice-Admiral Panagiotis Lymberis, as well as by members of the Supreme Naval Council.
