Upon decision of the Deputy Minister of National Defence Giannis Kefalogiannis, the hiring of three(3) auxiliary doctors at the Athens Naval Hospital was approved today, Friday 3 January 2025.
The contract concerns the placement of auxiliary doctors of the specialties “Vascular Surgeon” and “Neurologist” for one (1) year, and of the specialty “General Surgeon” for three (3) years.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence stated:
“In the context of the broader strategy of the Ministry of National Defence towards the upgrade of the Armed Forces’ health structures, we proceed to targeted interventions, as this particular one, to cover basic needs and enhance the staffing of Military Hospitals. In parallel, the Draft Law we presented with the Minister, Mr. Dendias, at the Ministerial Cabinet in October, contains a consistent set of reforms, so as to improve the services offered, as well as the career development of our medical personnel, who give their best every day”.
