The Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikos Dendias, attended today, Thursday 21 September 2023, the honouring ceremony for the fallen of the humanitarian aid mission in Libya, at the flag-raising ceremony in the “Papagou” Military Camp, following the completion of the three-days mourning period of the Armed Forces.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General (AF) Themistoklis Bourolias, the Deputy Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis – representing the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Aggelos Houdeloudis -, the Deputy Chief/HNGS Rear Admiral
Konstantinos Vlahos HN – representing the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymoussis HN, and other officials attended the ceremony.
A memorial service at the Armed Forces Holy Church of Virgin Mary Pantanassa followed the ceremony.
