The Government proceeds to very important adjustments in favour of Military Hospitals.
Specifically:
In order to ensure the unhindered operation of Military Hospitals and pharmacies in favour of their beneficiaries, it was decided to allocate a sum of 142,600,000 Euros for their due debts to third parties.
Following the cooperation of the Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos and the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Panaghiotis Karambelas with the Alternate Minister of Finances Mr. Christos Staikouras, it was decided to disburse the following amounts based on a time-schedule:
- For the Nursing Institute of the Army Pension Fund, 50,000,000.00n Euros were appointed as first deposit for the repayment of due debts until the year 2011. After that, and following the relative control by the Ministry of Finances, a funding will follow for the repayment of due debts of next years.
- For the Military Hospitals Pharmacies of all three branches of the Armed Forces, a sum of 92,600,000 Euros was appointed (HAGS: 22,600,000; HNGS: 60,000,000; HAFGS: 10,000,000), while a request has been submitted to the Ministry of Finances for special funding for the HAFGS, with an extra 13,100,000.00 Euros.
The aforementioned decision was taken within the general context of the governmental policy for the repayment of the Public Sector’s due debts.
