On Tuesday, November 22 and on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, the inauguration of two reconstructed refugees’ accommodation centres will be held; one of them will be in Ritsona (Chalkida) and the other one in Koutsochero (Larisa).
Both centres have been constructed through the common effort and contribution of the Hellenic Red Cross, the Red Crescent, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of National Defence.
The new centre in Ritsona will have a capacity to accommodate 160 families of refugees, whereas the centre in Koutsochero will be able to meet the needs of 2,000 refugees.
The inaugurations will be held according to the following schedule:
– Ritsona: Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 14.00
– Koutsochero: Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 10.00
The inaugurations will be attended by the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas who will also address the audience, by representatives of the United Arab Emirates, of the Hellenic Red Cross and the Red Crescent of the United Arab Emirates.
