By virtue of the amendment no. 391/33 (30/7/2025) to article 76 of Law 4692/2020, tabled by the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Sofia Zacharaki to the Hellenic Parliament on the evening of Wednesday 30 July 2025, on the proposal of the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias, students in Higher Educational Institutes (AEI) or the Higher Ecclesiastical Academy (AEA) of Athens with a sibling attending a bachelor programme at any AEI, the AEA, Supreme Military Education and Training Institutions, the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers or Higher Military Schools of NCOs are given the opportunity to request their transfer to nearby universities in their first year, in excess of the percentage under par. 1 of article 75 of Law 4692/2020 (A’ 111).

By the above amendment, two or more siblings attending a bachelor programme at any AEI, the AEA, Supreme Military Education and Training Institutions, the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers or Higher Military Schools of NCOs and being children from large families that have not exceeded the minimum duration of studies, are provided the opportunity to request their transfer throughout their academic studies in excess of the percentage under par. 1 of article 75 of Law 4692/2020.

Mr. Dendias thanked Ms. Zacharaki for backing the above law, which contributes towards attracting students in Military Schools.
