Today, Thursday 22 April 2021, AF Lieutenant General (ret.) Theodoros Lagios addressed the following letter to the Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos :
“On the occasion of the successful completion of a series of armament programs of the Armed Forces, today I have had the opportunity, following an invitation of the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, to provide details to him on the work done.
During our discussion, I accepted the Minister’s paramount proposal to assume the post of Liaison of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence at the EU Permanent Representation of Greece, on matters pertaining to the development of capabilities and Programs of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) of the EU.
I would like to thank the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence for trusting me personally, and state that I responsibly assume my new role representing our country in a critical field for our defence policy, aiming to offer my services guided by the criterion of defending the vital interests of our country”.
