The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias, at the presence of the Minister of Shipping and the Aegean Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, will bestow at a ceremony which will be held tomorrow Wednesday January 21 2015 at 11:00 at the MOD, the Medal for distinguished services to the members of the Hellenic Navy, Hellenic Air Force and Hellenic Coast Guard’s helicopters’ crews who participated in the rescue operation of the “Norman Atlantic” ferry passengers.
The ceremony will be attended by the Alternate Minister of National Defence Fofi Gennimata, the General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence Antonis Oikonomou, the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Evangelos Tournas and the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Christos Manolas.
