The Alternate Minister of National Defence Fotis Kouvelis, following a relevant request by the Alternate Minister of Health Pavlos Polakis, signed a decision on the assignment of three more medical servicemen to Regional Clinics in remote regions of the country. The military service period of these specific medical servicemen will also count as obligatory rural service, at the expense of the Ministry of Health.

The medical servicemen are specifically assigned to: the Regional Clinic of Symi, Regional Clinic of Tilos and Regional Clinic of Folegandros. The assignment of the medical servicemen is implemented following a joint decision of the Alternate Minister of National Defence and the Alternate Minister of Health. It is reminded that, in the context of the social contribution of the Hellenic Armed Forces, on 20 June 2018, the Alternate Minister of National Defence had approved the assignment of 15 medical servicemen to Regional Clinics and Health Centres in remote areas of the country.
