The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos had a working meeting today with the Chairman of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) Mr. Yannis Panagopoulos, the Chairman of the “TRIAINA” Union of employees at Skaramanga Shipyards Mr. Vassilis Karakitsos and the members of the Union’s Administrative Board Vassilis Baloyiannis, Nikolaos Petropoulos, Theodoros Koutras, Konstantinos Stamatakis, as well as the Chairman of the Panhellenic Metalworkers’ Federation Mr. Yiannis Stefanopoulos.
Aim of their meeting was to discuss the situation prevailing at the Shipyards, which have assumed – with the respective contracts – the shipbuilding of Hellenic Navy vessels, as well as the problems of the shipyards’ employees.
The meeting was also attended the Special Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence Mr. Antonis Oikonomou.
