By initiative of the Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos tomorrow, at the Ministry of National Defence a meeting will take place (at 12 a.m) with the presiding committee of the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA) and, more specifically, Mr. Giorgos Zanias, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, Mr. Nikolaos Nanopoulos, Vice Chairman A’, Mr. Demetrios Mantzounis, Vice Chairman B’, Mr. Stavros Lekkakos, Vice Chairman C’ and the members Mr. Spyros Filaretos, Chairman of the HBA Executive Committee and Mr. Christos Gkortsos, HBA Secretary General.

The meeting aims at taking initiative as far as the Banks-members of the Association are concerned, so as to take up solutions seeking to alleviate the burden of loan repayment by military and civilian personnel of the Armed Forces.

It should be underlined that a relevant letter by the Minister of National Defence to the Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association had preceded in order to jointly seek the actions and procedures to facilitate thousands of families, women and men of the Armed Forces, who face difficulties in performing and repaying loans they have taken from the Banks.
