The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos had a working meeting today with Chairman of the “TRIAINA” Union of employees at Skaramanga Shipyards Mr. Vassilis Karakitsos and the members of the Union’s Administrative Board Vaggelis Baloyiannis, Nikolaos Petropoulos, Theodoros Koutras, Konstantinos Stamatakis, as well as the Chairman of the Panhellenic Metalworkers’ Federation Mr. Yiannis Stefanopoulos.
Aim of their meeting was to discuss the situation prevailing at the Skaramanga Shipyards, which have assumed – with the respective contracts – the shipbuilding of Hellenic Navy vessels, as well as the problems faced by the shipyards’ employees.
