On Monday, 2 September 2019, a meeting was held under the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis at “Ioannis Kapodistrias” Ηall at the Ministry of National Defence with the Coordinating Council of the three Unions of Retired Officers of the Armed Forces.
The meeting was also attended by the Directors of the competent Directorates, Branches, and Authorities of the Ministry of National Defence, the National Defence, Army, Navy, and Air Force General Staffs, as well as the Heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force Welfare Funds.
During the meeting, the representatives of the Coordinating Council presented proposals related to matters of social security legislation, pension policy, healthcare, dividends and gratuities, as well as administrative matters for active duty personnel.
All proposals presented will be further examined by the competent Ministry of National Defence and General Staff Authorities in order to make targeted interventions to resolve or improve matters.
