The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Kammenos and the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis met with the President of the Ocean Learning Centre (OLC) Fabien Cousteau, grandson of Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
They discussed issues of cooperation between OLC, the Ministry of National Defence and the Hellenic Navy. They also examined the possibility of the foundation of an undersea environment and marine life research centre in Greece, which will lead to the development of tourism and the creation of jobs.
Also present was the Vice President of the Independent Greeks Political Party, Panagiotis Sgouridis.
