The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Nikolaos Chardalias, in the context of his official visit to Spain, conducted today Friday 5 November 2021, a bilateral scheduled meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Dr Nebojša Stefanović.
During the meeting, conducted in the context of the International Defence and Security Exhibition “FEINDEF 2021”, issues of enhancement and expansion of the two countries’ cooperation on the fields of defence and security were discussed, while the exquisite level of bilateral relations stemming from the everlasting strong historical, religious, financial and cultural bonds of our peoples was ascertained.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence, on the 3rd Day of the Exhibition “FEINDEF 2021”, visited the Unidad Militar de Emergencias – UME (Unit for the Management of Emergencies) pavilion of the Spanish Armed Forces, where he was briefed by members of the UME on its structure and operation, its activities, as well as its materials and assets.
Furthermore, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, during his visit, conducted a formal meeting with His Beatitude the Metropolitan Bishop of Spain and Portugal Mr Bessarion, at the Metropolis’ premises, at the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Saints Andreas and Demetrius in Madrid. The Deputy Minister was briefed by His Beatitude on the work and activities of the Holy Metropolis of Spain and Portugal and he expressed the unreserved support of the Ministry of National Defence and of all the Hellenic Government.
