The Ministry of National Defence signed a programme contract with “National Infrastructures for Technology and Research – GRNET SA” for the implementation of the project “Integration, Support, and Management of the Provision of Academic Textbooks (‘Eudoxus’ Service) for the Higher Military Education Institutions and Higher Career NCO Academies”.

With the implementation of the project, Higher Military Education Institution and Higher Career NCO Academy students will have organised access to the provision of academic textbooks through the “Eudoxus” Service, within the framework of the further upgrade of military education and training.

The initiative is part of the “Agenda 2030” reform for the transformation of the Armed Forces, whose main pillars are the upgrade of training, the use of digital capabilities, and investments in the personnel.

As the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, has stressed “the upgrade of the Armed Forces is not merely about assets, but primarily about the knowledge and training of the personnel, their main force multiplier”.

 The programme contract, with a budget of €347,200, covers three consecutive academic years, from 2026–2027 through 2028–2029, and will be completed on 31 August 2029.

It includes the initial development, implementation, and integration of the relevant Service for the Higher Military Education Institutions and Higher Career NCO Academies, as well as the maintenance and support of its operation for the provision of academic textbooks.
