The Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos met today with the Ambassador of Canada, Mr. Mark Allen, with whom he discussed the further enhancement of bilateral cooperation and the developments in the East Mediterranean.
The Minister of National Defence then received at his office the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee (CMC), Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, who is paying an official visit to Greece. The meeting was also attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou.
During the meeting, they discussed the international security environment, focusing on the broader East Mediterranean, North Africa, and Middle East region. Furthermore, the CMC was briefed on Greece’s national defence policy, as well as on important matters and priorities of the Hellenic Armed Forces.
