The oath-taking ceremony of the new 2nd Lieutenants, Class of 2018 “Lieutenant General Konstantinos Kallaris”, was held in the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) facilities in Vari, Attica, in the presence of His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Panos Kammenos, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Nikolaos Tsounis HN, and the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Christos Christodoulou.
The swords were awarded to the new 2nd Lieutenants by His Excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic.
