The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos accompanied by HAGS Chief Lieutenant  General  Alkiviadis Stefanis visited the Outposts of Agathonisi and Farmakonisi and exchanged wishes for Easter Sunday with the Officers, NCOs, Privates and Territorial Guards.

From the Agathonisi Outpost the Minister of National Defence made the following statement:

“From the Agathonisi Outpost along with the Hellenic Army General Staff Chief, The Mayor of Agathonisi , the Commander of the Outpost, the Officers, the NCOs, the Draftees and the Territorial Guards allow me to extend to you all Season’s Greetings and a Happy Easter.

The message of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a message of hope for all of Greece, for our citizens as well as for those who on days like these guard  Thermopylae in the Aegean, Evros, Macedonia, Epirus and every corner of Greece.

I would like to wish to all these people health, strength and extend a big thank you on part of the Greek people because, indeed, these days it is really hard to complete your task, however, they are accomplishing their mission with  high morale, professionalism and love for our country.

Happy Easter to all of you. May the resurrection of our country come really soon” .
