On Wednesday, 15 November 2023, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, represented the Prime Minister and the government in the oath-taking ceremony of new Officers of the Nursing Officers Academy, as well as their presentation with swords by Her Excellency, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

The oath-taking ceremony, which took place at the Nursing Officers Academy in Vyronas, Attica, and was officiated by His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Kessariani, Vironas, and Imittos, Mr. Dianiil, was also attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Ioannis Kefalogiannis, the Leader of the Spartiates political party, Vassilios Stigas, MP, former Minister of National Defence, and honorary Chief of HNDGS, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis (ret.), as representative of the SYRIZA party, and MP Nikos Papanastasis, as representative of the Communist Party.

On behalf of the Armed Forces leadership, the ceremony was attended by the Chief of HNDGS, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of HAFGS, Lieutenant General (HAF) Themistoklis Bourolias, the Chief of HNGS, Vice Admiral Ioannis Drimousis HN, and the Deputy Chief of HAGS, Lieutenant General Andreas Koronakis, as representative of the Chief of HAGS, Lieutenant General Aggelos Houdeloudis.

The ceremony was also attended by the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, Lieutenant General Eleftherios Garilas, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Lazaros Mavropoulos, Rear Admiral Nikolaos Polemis CG, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Georgios Alexandrakis CG, other party representatives, a representative of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of regional and local self-government, as well as representatives of local authorities.
