On Wednesday, 11 February 2026, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will go to Brussels, where he will attend the EU Foreign Affairs Council, in the Defence Ministers’ configuration of its member – states.
During the summit, the Defence Ministers are expected to discuss the latest developments in Ukraine. A working dinner will follow, where the Ministers will focus on the topic of the European Union’s Defence Readiness, in which framework programs such as SAFE are included.
The following day, Thursday, 12 February 2026, also in Brussels, the Minister will participate in the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence. During the meeting, ministers will discuss, among others, the capability of the Alliance to fulfil its defence doctrine, as well as the need to increase defence industrial production and capacity.
