On Wednesday, 10 December 2025, the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias attended a ceremony to award the rank of honorary Reserve Lieutenant Commander to the businessman Stefanos Papadopoulos for his contribution to the Hellenic Navy, with the donation of the complete remodelling and upgrade of the working areas of the Operations Centre of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.

The ceremony took place at the Supreme Navy Council Hall “THEMISTOKLIS” of the Hellenic Navy General Staff.

The ceremony was also attended by the Chief/HNDGS General Dimitrios Choupis and the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras.
