On Thursday, 10 September 2026, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will receive the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, Vasilis Palmas, at the Ministry of National Defence (11:30 a.m.).
After the private meeting between Mr. Dendias and Mr. Palmas, the two delegations will have broadened discussions, followed by a joint press conference of the Ministers.
The focus of this meeting is to achieve coordination between the two Ministries at the bilateral and European level, particularly with regard to the enhancement of Europe’s defence readiness, the use of EU financing instruments for defence, as well as the further development of the cooperation between the defence industries of Greece and the Republic of Cyprus.
The two Ministers are also expected to discuss the regional security challenges.
This meeting is part of the continuous close cooperation between Greece and the Republic of Cyprus in the area of defence.
