On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Nicosia to participate in the celebration for the 66th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Cyprus.
Within the framework of the visit, the Greek Minister will meet on the same day with the Archbishop of Nea Ioustiniani and All Cyprus Georgios.
On Thursday, 1 October 2026, Mr. Dendias will lay a wreath at the statue of Archbishop Makarios III at the Presidential Palace together with His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, by whom he will be received afterwards.
The Minister of National Defence will then attend the parade for the 66th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Cyprus in Nicosia.
