On Friday, 21 February 2025, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will travel to the United Kingdom. During his visit to London, he will meet, among others, with top British officials, as well as academics and other stakeholders.
Within the framework of his visit, the Greek Minister of National Defence will have a meeting (25/2/2025) at the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom with the Secretary of State for Defence, John Healey.
Furthermore, the Minister of National Defence will have meetings (24/2/2025) with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces, Luke Pollard, and the Minister of State for Defence Procurement and Industry, Maria Eagle.
Moreover, Mr. Dendias will have a meeting (21/2/2025) with the National Security Adviser, Jonathan Powell, as well as with the Chairman of the Defence Committee of the House of Commons Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi and members of the Committee (24/2/2025).
The aforementioned meetings will include discussions on matters concerning the enhancement of the bilateral defence cooperation between Greece and the United Kingdom and the cooperation between the two states in the areas of defence innovation and technology, as well as regional and international security matters.
