The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will visit today, Wednesday 21 October 2026, and tomorrow, Thursday 22 October 2026, the United States of America and specifically Boston.
Mr. Dendias will attend in the afternoon today (local time) the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sea Grant Program (MITSG) and the Hellenic Centre for Defence Innovation (HCDI) at the General Consulate of Boston.
Furthermore, during his visit to Boston, he will meet with the Professor of Surgery of Harvard University Giorgos Velmahos to discuss the creation of the Trauma Centre of Excellence at the 401st Army General Hospital of Athens.
He will also meet with academics from US universities and research institutes and executives of US companies specialising in the areas of robotics, innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Defence and Cybersecurity, as well as space telecommunications.
