On Tuesday, 31 May 2022, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias attended the funeral service of General Konstantinos Korkas, which took place in the Cemetery of Papagos with full military honours.
The service was also attended by the New Democracy MP for North Attica Mr. Georgios Koumoutsakos, the independent MP for Athens Mr. Konstantinos Bogdanos, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Themistoklis Bourolias, and the Deputy Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Rear Admiral Georgios Kambourakis HN, as well as the former interim Minister of National Defence and Honorary Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Fragoulis S. Fragos, the former Deputy Minister of National Defence and Honorary Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, General Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Member of the Board of the Union of Army Retired Officers, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Skarmaliorakis (ret.), and other active duty and retired Hellenic Army Officers.
