The swearing-in ceremony of the new Second Lieutenants of 2021 class “Major (ARM) Konstantinos Tzavelas” was held at the facilities of the Hellenic Army Academy, at Vari, Attica.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, HNDGS Chief General Konstantinos Floros, HAFGS Lieutenant General (AF) Georgios Blioumis, HAGS Chief Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, HNGS Vice-Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, parties, Church and Local Administration representatives.
230 Second Lieutenant graduated from the Academy, of which 189 were Greek (163 men and 27 women), 35 from Cyprus (34 men and one woman), two from Bosnia –Herzegovina, two from Moldavia, one from Montenegro and one from Armenia.
The swords were presented to new Second-Lieutenants by Her Excellence the President of the Hellenic Republic.
