Today, Monday 12 July 2021, in the Presence of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the oath-taking ceremony of the new Air Force Second Lieutenants, Class 2021, took place at the Hellenic Air Force Academy facilities, at Tatoi.
The ceremony was also attended by the MP of B1 North Sector of Athens Mr. Georgios Koumoutsakos, representing the President of the Parliament, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Charalambos Laloussis and the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis.
65 Second Lieutenants, Class 2021, graduated from the Academy (40 Flying Personnel, 11 Engineers and three Tactical Air Controllers), among which 54 from Greece (46 men and eight women), 6 from Cyprus, 2 from Montenegro, one from Jordan, one from Bosnia-Herzegovina, one from Zimbabwe.
The swords were presented to the new Air Force Officers by the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
