Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos is paying an official visit to Cyprus, for the 47th Anniversary in memory of the Fallen Officers and Soldiers during the 1974 Turkish Invasion

Today Monday 19 and tomorrow Tuesday 20 July 2021 the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos will pay an official visit to Cyprus for the 47th anniversary in memory of the fallen Officers and Soldiers during the 1974 Turkish Invasion following an invitation extended by his counterpart Mr. Charalambos Petridis. In the context of his visit the Minister of National Defence will be accompanied by HNDGS Chief General Konstantinos Floros.

On Tuesday 20 July 2021, Mr. Panagiotopoulos will attend the memorial Service in honour of the heroes at the Makedonitissa Tomb, also to be attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis.

Then the Minister will go to the Apostolos Varnavas Cathedral where a Memorial Service in the memory of the Fallen Heroes will also be held.
