Today, Wednesday 7 July, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos met with the Chief Executive Officer of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Mr. David Harris.
During their talks, the two men exchanged views on the course and the strengthening of the Greek-American relations, as well as on the strategic cooperation in the field of Defence and Security between Greece and the USA.
Additionally, they discussed the developments in the wider region and mainly in the Eastern Mediterranean, while they pointed out the role played by Greece as a pillar of peace, security and stability, cooperating with countries sharing common values and a common vision for a peaceful and prosperous region.
In this context they made a special mention on the significance of the trilateral cooperation among Greece-Cyprus-Israel with the participation of the USA, and they examined the manners to further enhance it.
The Minister of National Defence and the AJC CEO reaffirmed the close cooperation of the AJC with the Greek diaspora in the USA and the excellent level of the bilateral relations of the two countries.
