Today, Thursday 16 September 2021, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos met with the Chair of NATO Military Committee Admiral Robert Bauer, in view of the Committee Conference, at Chiefs of Defence level, to be held in Athens from 17 to 19 September 2021, on the occasion of the 200 years since the outbreak of the Greek Revolution in 1821.
During the meeting, which was also attended by HNDGS Chief General Konstantinos Floros, they discussed matters pertaining to the “NATO 2030” process, the new NATO Strategy on Defence and Deterrence in the Euro-Atlantic area.
They also highlighted the importance of strengthening the resilience of the extremely critical state infrastructures, the significant contribution and the role of our country in the Alliance, as well as the need to effectively tackle the new challenges and threats in our wider region.
