Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias to Travel to Austria and Germany

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 19 and 20 May 2026, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Austria and Germany, respectively.

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, Mr. Dendias will go to Krems An Der Donau, Austria, where he will participate, together with the country’s Minister of Defence, Klaudia Tanner, in a public discussion at the city university campus on the subject “European Security Architecture: From the End of Order to Joint Initiative”.

The discussion is taking place within the framework of the Europa-Forum Wachau ’26, which is dedicated to the “central questions of European sovereignty in a fragile world order”, as well as the developments during the following three decades, on the occasion of the Forum’s 30th anniversary.

The Minister of National Defence will then have a private meeting with the Minister of Defence of Austria. After the meeting, the two Ministers will hold a Press conference.

At noon of the same day, Mr. Dendias will attend a working lunch hosted by his Austrian counterpart, which will also be attended by the Minister of Defence of Moldova, Anatolie Nosatii.

On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, Mr. Dendias will go to Munich, where he will visit the facilities of a technology company active in the areas of innovation, cybersecurity, and the defence industry.
