On Friday 26 September 2025, the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias visited Kalpaki War Museum in Ioannina.
During the visit, MP for Ioannina Maria – Alexandra Kefala and Giorgos Amyras, the Head of Region for Epirus Alexandros Kachrimanis, the Deputy Head of Region for Volunteerism and Solidarity Affairs Konstantinos Kitsios, and the Mayor of Pogoni Konstantinos Kapsalis were also present.
The Minister of National Defence was accompanied by the Commanding General of C Army Corps/NRDC-GR, Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis and the Commanding General of the 8th Motorised Brigade – VIII Infantry Division “EPIRUS”, Brigadier General Vasilios Kolios, and was briefed on the Museum’s activities and the actions taken for the improvement and projection of it’s exhibits.
In addition, he had the opportunity to take a tour of the Museum’s facilities, where exhibits – relics of the Battle of Kalpaki are exhibited.
