On Friday, 15 December 2023, the Deputy Minister of National Defence visited 441 Medical Materiel Base Depot in Athens, where he was greeted by the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Army Support, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, and the Commander of the Base Support Command, Major General Athanasios Saplaouras.

Mr Kefalogiannis was briefed on the mission, organisation, work, goals, and potential of the Unit. At the same time, he toured the facilities, while the potential of further development of the unit’s pharmaceutical laboratories was discussed. After the end of the visit, the Deputy Minister stated the following:
“I visited 441 Medical Materiel Base Depot, the only laboratory for medicine production of the Armed Forces, which receives, stores, maintains, manages, and provides medical materiel for the preservation of units of the three services. I want to congratulate the personnel, scientists with excellent qualifications, who work intensively to cover the needs of the army and all those who need the materiel produced here.”
