On Thursday, 18 January 2024, the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias attended the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff change of responsibility ceremony that took place at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), with Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis assuming responsibility from General Angelos Choudeloudis.
The ceremony was also attended by:
– The Deputy Minister of National Defence,Ioannis Kefalogiannis.
– The Deputy Minister of Development Anna Mani – Papadimitriou.
– MP for Kastoria Maria Vasiliou Antoniou.
– The Metropolitan of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni & Vari, Mr. Antonios.
On behalf of the military leadership, the ceremony was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lieutenant General (HAF) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, general officers of the Armed Forces and representatives of all three services.
Additionally, the ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Fire Service, Fire Service Lieutenant General Theodoros Vagias, Police Major General Christos Manouras as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Police, the A Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Vice Admiral Alexandros Tselikis CG, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard.
Finally, the ceremony was attended by Honorary Chiefs of General Staff, Defence Attachés, representatives of the Security Forces, local government officials, representatives of Retired and Reserve Officers Associations, and more.
