In the presence of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, the oath taking ceremony of newly commissioned Ensigns of 2016 Class was held at the Hellenic Naval Academy.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Dimitris Dritsas, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas, the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Vassileios Tellidis, the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Georgios Giakoumakis and the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis.
It was also attended by the Leader of the Union of Centrists Vassilis Leventis, MPs and representatives of political parties.
The swords were awarded by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic.
