The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Kammenos representing the Government at the celebrations held in Thessaloniki from 26 to 28 October 2017, received his Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
The political and military leadership of the Ministry of National Defence attended the Doxology at the Holy Temple of Agios Dimitrios of Thessaloniki. Then he attended a ceremony during which the war flag of “Averof Battleship” was awarded the medal of The Grand Commander of the Order of the Redeemer by his Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic.
