The political and military leadership of the Ministry of National Defence attended the Solidarity Lunch for vulnerable social groups held by the Armed Forces at the Army Park, Goudi, Athens.

It was attended by Archbishop Hieronymos of Athens and All Greece who gave the blessing for the Easter lunch.

The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos stated the following:

“I wish all Greek people Happy Easter. The political leadership is here, together with the Alternate Minister Mr. Isichos, with the Chiefs of Hellenic National Defence, Hellenic Army, Hellenic Navy, Hellenic Air Force General Staffs. We are here at a great feast, having invited Greek women and men and particularly the vulnerable social groups who are victims of the crisis. We are celebrating altogether because these principles, the message of the Resurrection, the message of hope cannot be taken from us. We will continue to celebrate, we will continue to have faith to hope and with this faith to hope and to the Light of the Resurrection we will move into tomorrow.”

The Alternate Minister of National Defence Kostas Isichos stated the following:
 
“An important day; with smile; a beautiful, bright sky. People may start smiling. The times are changing for our country. I think that today we may speak about our people’s revival and hopes. Thank you very much.”

The Chief of HNDGS General Michail Kostarakos stated the following:

“On behalf of the Armed Forces I wish a Happy Easter to the Greek people. The Armed Forces are present to help at this moment, at the moment of the humanitarian crisis, providing at least this opportunity to all our fellow citizens who are present here and who may have fun at this festive day, as we always have fun according to our traditions and to what we always do at Easter.
