The Ministry of National Defence announces that the Governmental Council on Foreign Policy and National Defence (KYSEA), by it decision No. 1/ D.6/26-07-2012, proceeded to:
1. The posting of Lieutenant Generals of the Army and the Air Force and Vice Admirals, as well as to the promotion of Major Generals of the Army and the Air Force and Rear Admirals to Lieutenant Generals of the Army and the Air Force and Vice Admirals, respectively, as follows:
a. ARMY
(1) Lieutenant General Gheorghios Sofianidis (Serial No. 42218), as Commander of 1st
Army.
(2) Lieutenant General Athanassios Koutroumbelis (Serial No. 422126), as Hellenic Army Inspector General and B’ Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
(3) Lieutenant General Nikolaos Tamouridis (Serial No. 42611), as A’ Deputy Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
(4) Lieutenant General Christos Manolas (Serial No. 42613), as Military Representative (MILREP).
(5) Lieutenant General Vassilios Tellidis (Serial No. 42619), as Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands.
