Press Release from the Armed Forces Real Estate Utilisation Authority

The Armed Forces Real Estate Utilisation Authority would like to announce the following:

A. Regarding the first set of tenders held in April 2017, the highest bidder for the former “Liosi” Camp property, owned by the National Defence Fund, offered a monthly rent of €3,400 for twenty-five (25) years, with an option for another twenty-five (25) years, with a minimum annual increase of 1%. The total revenue for the Authority from this particular lease contract [for twenty-five (25) years] will be at least €1,152,322.54. Furthermore, regarding the ground floor store property at 40, Soutsou Str., the highest bidder offered a monthly rent of €6,700 for twelve (12) years, with an option for another twelve (12) years, with a minimum annual increase of 1%. The total revenue for the Authority from this particular lease contract [for twelve (12) years] will be at least €1,019,673.24.

B.Subsequently, regarding the second set of tenders held in August 2017, the highest bidder for the property at 62, Th. Poulidou Str. in Kavala, owned by the National Defence Fund, offered a monthly rent of €4,000 for twenty (20) years, with an option for another twenty (20) years, with a minimum annual increase of 1%. The renter will pay 50% of the rent for the first six (6) months of the lease. The total revenue for the Authority from this particular lease contract [for twenty (20) years] will be at least €1,034,922.96. Furthermore, regarding the property at 3-5, Kolokotroni Str. in Athens, owned by the Army Welfare Fund, the highest bidder offered a monthly rent of €40,000 for twenty (20) years, with an option for another twenty (20) years, with a minimum annual increase of 1%. The renter will pay 50% of the rent for the first six (6) months of the lease. The total revenue for the Authority from this particular lease contract [for twenty (20) years] will be at least €10,349,229.62.

An electronic tender for the lease of the ground floor store at 3, Kotopouli Str. in Athens, owned by the Air Force Welfare Fund, has already been scheduled for 06 September 2017 and will take place through the electronic platform of the Armed Forces Real Estate Utilisation Authority.

The above successful tenders generated a total of €13,556,148.36 in revenue for the Armed Forces.
